Aloe nobilis is also known as the White Toothed Aloe. Grows into very compact mounds.

Excellent in rock, cactus and succulent gardens, Aloe nobilis is good for xeriscaping as well, and can be used as a dry ground cover. Combine it with winter blooming aloes for a longer show of flowers. Aloe nobilis’ flowers attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.

Aloe nobilis is a small, clumping aloe that produces a colony of 5-6 inch rosettes by suckering profusely. Aloe nobilis is a mounding plant about 18 inches tall and is composed of fleshy green leaves that have a rose tint on the tips and white, sharp but flexible teeth running mostly along the leaf margins. Aloe nobilis gets its nickname because its teeth glow when backlit by sunlight.

Aloe nobilis makes a nice dry ground cover that puts on a solid floral display in summer with red-orange flower spikes rising 1 to 2′ above the leaf rosettes.
