Sedum nussbaumerianum is a low growing sedum with decumbent, reddish-brown glabrous stems that carry elongating 3-inch wide rosettes of yellow-green-to-orange thick, pointed leaves. Known as the “Golden” sedum for its colorful foliage, Sedum nussbaumerianum is prized for its stunning leaf color. Use full sun and withhold water to bring out its unique vibrant color.

Sedum nussbaumerianum makes an interestingly colored small-scale ground cover. It can provide strong accent against plants with dark green and red foliage. It thrives in xeriscape and rock gardens provided the soil is well-draining. Sedum nussbaumerianum also does well in hanging baskets and draping over walls and in containers; even under planting large succulents in bigger containers.

In late winter to spring, Sedum nussbaumerianum blooms with a somewhat fragrant white star-shaped flowers in a flat topped umbel. Drought-tolerant in the landscape. Prefers full sun. Suitable for indoors in a bright indoor location.
